Cluny Crichton is a 196 hectare (485 acre) mixed farm located in the north east of Scotland at Raemoir, Banchory, 18 miles from Aberdeen.  The farm is located on the south facing slopes of the Hill of Fare and commands outstanding views over Royal Deeside.  Cluny Crichton has been in the Alexander family since 1899 and has changed  a great deal in that time.

Farming
The main farming enterprises at Cluny Crichton are suckler cows, finishing their calves and growing cereal crops.

An attractive detached bungalow, three star rated by the Scottish Tourist Board,  is available for holiday lets.  The accommodation, all on the ground floor, comprises:

  • 1 double and 2 twin bedrooms fully equipped and with ample wardrobe space. 
  • Bathroom with shower over bath, toilet and wash hand basin
  • Separate toilet with wash hand basin
  • Lounge with television, video and DVD player
  • Separate dining room
  • Spacious kitchen with dining area, electric cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and wall mounted television
  • The house is equipped with total control electric heating and sits in an enclosed garden with parking for 2 cars.
  • All bed linen and towels included.

Leisure and Environment
The ruins of Cluny Crichton castle are located near the farm steading.   The area is popular for tourists and visitors for hill and woodland walks.
